Kelley Franklin Obituary

Kelley Renae Franklin, 55, of Danville, Ind. passed away on Saturday, January 28th surrounded by loved ones, as she peacefully transitioned to her heavenly life.

Kelley was born in Danville, Ind. on March 9, 1967, one of five children, the daughter of Charles and Carol (Johnson) Mayo. She grew up in Plainfield, graduating from Plainfield High School with the class of 1985. A few years after high school she married her best friend, Rob Franklin, in Bartlett Chapel UMC, where she was currently a member, and had close connections. They moved to Danville, worked hard, raised three great kids, and welcomed grandchildren. For 27 years Kelley made her career in accounting with AIMCO. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking out or camping at Raccoon Lake and McCormick’s Creek State Park, and loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all.

Kelley is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, D. Robert Franklin, their children, Dustin (Blake Gray) Franklin of Indianapolis, Kalah (Nic) Denton of Brownsburg, and Kacey Franklin of Danville; grandchildren, Isaac and Bellamy Denton; parents, Charles and Carol Mayo of Mooresville; siblings, Shelley (John) Schrader of Danville, Miley (Ed) Price of Clayton, Kim Mayo of Plainfield, and Chuck Mayo of Colorado Springs. Also missing Kelley are nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Bartlett Chapel UMC, 4396 E. Main St. Avon, IN 46123, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day at 11:00, and laid to rest in the Danville South Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.heltonandharrisfuneralhomes.com.
