Barbara Faye Kiser

Barbara F. Kiser, 59, of Danville, passed away peacefully, at her home on April 12, 2023.  She was born in Cleveland, Virginia on June 24, 1963, and was the daughter of the late Billy Sunday and Lois (Johnson) Kiser.

Barbara grew up in Brown County, Indiana.  Following high school, she went to work for White Castle, managing several Indianapolis locations, and retiring after 25 years of service.  Barbara enjoyed her daily walks to the grocery store, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Melissa Kiser, and Michelle Simpson, both of Danville; 10 grandchildren, Jose, Justin, Jacob, Brianna, Brycen, Vanessa, Isabella, Dakota, Austin and Kiara, and one great-grandson, Matthew; siblings, Joyce Nadeen “Susie” Hall, Frances Gail (Dave) Pate, Randall Ray (Gladys Snead) Kiser, Jerilyn Joy (Jason) Treacy, Jacquilyn June Rapp, Mark (Judy) Walden; nieces, LaCrisha Callahan and Candice Fair; cousin, Bart (Mary) Johnson; aunt, June Johnson, who was like a mother, raising Barbara after her parents passed away. 

In addition to her parents, she is now in heaven with her baby boy, Bobby Lee Kiser; her best friend and love of her life, the father of her children, Bobby Lee Benedict; son-in-law, Ryan Simpson, Sr., brothers, Daniel Eugene, Edward Lee, Larry Wayne, and Ellis Dean Kiser.

A private family visitation and farewell will take place at the funeral home, prior to cremation.
