William Paul Selig

William Paul Selig, 59, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Leitchfield, KY. He was born on July 25, 1966, in Indianapolis, the son of the late Clarence Selig and Kathryn Savoldi.

A 1984 graduate of Danville High School, William carried with him a lifelong love of sports and camaraderie. He was a devoted fan of Indiana University athletics, as well as the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, and Indianapolis Colts. Whether watching a game or talking sports with friends and family, he found joy in every moment.

William leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to his family. Known for his upbeat spirit, playful nature, and love of joking around, he brought laughter wherever he went. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing—especially spending time on Nolin Lake—where he embraced the simple pleasures of life. Quiet evenings by the fire pit were among his favorite times, creating lasting memories filled with connection and joy.

Above all, William treasured time spent with his children, whom he loved deeply.

He is survived by his daughters, Alicia, Hilary, and Shelby; his sons, William and Hunter; and his stepdaughters, Tara and Heather, whom he loved and raised as his own. He has five beloved grandchildren: Bayleah, Emma, Evalyn, Karson, and Lily.

William was also a treasured sibling survived by his loving Sister Felicia and her husband Maciel, Brother Cody and his wife Nadia, Brother Kaleb, and his stepfather Ralph Savoldi.

William will be remembered for his kind spirit, his carefree and joyful outlook on life, and his unwavering dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will be received at Helton & Harris Funeral Home, 4712 Pennsylvania St. CLAYTON, IN 46118 on Friday, May 8, 2026, for a celebration of William’s life from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. His urn will be laid to rest atop his mother’s grave in Clayton Cemetery.
