Vernal L. Roush

Vernal, 85, passed away on Good Friday at Avon Healthcare. Due to the COVID-19 Virus, private services will be held at FRANK & BRIGHT FUNERAL HOME in her hometown of Flora, Illinois with burial to follow in Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery. She was born in Flora to the late Verdie A. and Mamie F. (Cox) Coble. Vernal married George Kenneth Roush April 18, 1954, he preceded her in death Sept. 24, 2013. A very loving person, she greeted everyone with a smile. Vernal enjoyed picnics, her sorority, playing golf, DAR, and many church and community activities. She especially enjoyed her family, reading and listening to Gospel music.

Vernal is survived by her loving daughter, Kim (Rev. Steve) Ranson, who cared for her in their home in Hazelwood, daughter-in-law, Janet (John) Wiley of Hazelwood, grandsons, Chad (Abbi) Ranson, Aaron (Leigh) Ranson, great grandchildren, Bella, Molly, Lily, Harper, and Silas Ranson, 4 sisters, and many extended family. Vernal was also preceded in death by a son, Greg Roush, granddaughter, Amber Ranson, and a brother, Vernon Arthur Coble.
