Regina Kay Wethington, 63, of Coatesville, IN passed away on October 10, 2025 at Methodist Hospital. She was born September 27, 1962 in Indianapolis to the late Robert G. and Virginia G. (Bohn) Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Bishop and brother-in-laws, Duane McLerran and Kenny Taylor.
Regina grew up in Indianapolis, graduating from Tri-West High School with the class of 1980. She worked for Puget Sound Services as a telecommunication project manager. She met the love of her life, Mike Wethington, and they were married on October 4, 2007. Regina would bake Mike a cake every week because he had once mentioned how much he loved fondant icing. She was so loving and caring, she even had “breakfast” ready every morning when Mike returned from work.
Regina was the “rock” of the family. She made everyone feel extra special with words of comfort, cards and flowers. She went all-out for every holiday, her delicious dishes will be dearly missed and practiced. She especially loved spending time with her family, her granddaughters filled her heart with so much joy. They spent time crafting, watching movies, baking cookies, even dawning their goggles and aprons for a quick chemistry lesson.
Regina is survived by her husband of 18 years, Mike Wethington; children, Jamie and Jerry Tranbarger, III of Indianapolis, and Jason Bishop of Coatesville; granddaughters, Lily Bishop and Peyton Tranbarger; siblings, Karen (Skip) Kyriakopoulos of Noblesville, IN, Robert (Bev) Carpenter of Whidbey Island, WA, Lisa McLerran of Mooresville, IN, Tina Taylor of Indianapolis, IN, Teresa (Kenny) Hughes of Lizton, IN and Michael (Angela) Carpenter of Greenwood, IN.
