Noreitta Gropp

Noreitta Gropp, 82, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully in the early hours on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born February 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Merle and Evelyn (Clemons) Majors. In addition to her parents, her husband John L. Gropp preceded her on November 9, 2011.

She was a graduate of North Central High School in 1961, then attended Ball State University. Noreietta and John were married November 18, 1966. Together they enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the US and camping in their Airstream travel trailer. She worked for 40 years in the Indianapolis area at various educational, religious and legal firms as an office manager, administrative assistant and executive legal secretary for Woodard, Emhardt, Moriarty, McNett & Henry LLP, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed showing Parisian Cats for which she won many awards.

She leaves behind many dear friends.

A graveside service and inurnment will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clayton Cemetery, Clayton, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the SPCA or to another organization of the donor’s choice that also cares for animals.
