Michael J. Preecs (June)

June 15, 1992 — April 19, 2026

Danville

Michael Jared Preecs (June) passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 33. A thoughtful and caring soul, Jared (June)’s gentle presence touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know Jared (June).Born to Todd and Valerie Preecs, Jared (June) grew up alongside sisters Miranda and Cassandra, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. Jared (June) shared an especially close friendship with sister Mandy, who considered Jared (June) a best friend—a testament to a loyal and loving nature.

Passionate about music, especially guitar, Jared (June) became a self-taught luthier, a craft that brought great fulfillment. The beautiful instruments Jared (June) created will carry on a legacy of music, and the family takes comfort knowing that passion will continue to live through them.A true green thumb, Jared (June) loved growing plants and was a gardener through and through. Jared (June) would often, jokingly, forbid Mom from touching them because Mom always seemed to find a way to kill plants—even when trying hard to keep them alive. Jared (June) enjoyed nursing any plant back to life, even when everyone said it was hopeless, and, stubborn in the best way, proved everyone wrong time and time again.

A devoted animal lover with a soft heart for rescuing abandoned animals, Jared (June) gave many creatures a second chance and a loving home—including current beloved cat, Moki. Dedicated to helping others, Jared (June) reached out to anyone in need of understanding, support, or a helping hand, offering compassion, acceptance, and encouragement, and always striving to help others feel seen and valued. Jared (June) treasured friendships and made a point to stay in contact with those most cared about, no matter the distance, remembering everyone who offered love—and returning that love in full.

Jared (June) is survived by parents Todd and Valerie Preecs; sisters Miranda and Cassandra (Will) Collier; niece and nephew Emery and Vincent; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and paternal grandparents. Predeceased by maternal grandparents, with whom there was a very close relationship, Jared (June) carried their love and influence as an important part of life. Jared (June) will be missed and was deeply loved.
