Marilyn K. Hepp

Marilyn Kay (Finup) Hepp, age 82, passed away peacefully November 4, 2025,surrounded by family. Born August 1, 1943, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Leonard and Elizabeth (Knuth) Finup she grew up with one sibling and many cousins. She married Paul James (Jim) Hepp, Jr. on February 16, 1963. Marilyn is survived by her spouse of 62 years, as well as her children, Scott Hepp, Curt Hepp and James (Denise) Hepp, grandchildren Arlene Hepp, Melissa Krebsbach, Spencer Hepp, Alexandrea Hepp, Haley Hepp, Christopher Hepp, Grahm (Julie) Selm and Olivia (Rob) Wohlschlaeger, and seven great-grandchildren.

A 1961 graduate from Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Marilyn met Jim, her husband, after his service in the Navy. Once married, Marilyn became a full-time homemaker and used any free time to explore her many artistic talents. Over the years, she painted oils and watercolors and even managed her own craft barn. For retirement, she and Jim relocated to Mesa, Arizona to enjoy a warmer climate. Once established, Marilyn became the head of Sunland Ceramics and later lead Sundland Card-Making Club where she grew many long-lasting friendships. Anyone who is fortunate to possess a piece of her artwork is lucky!

Along with Marilyn’s parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law Paul and Betty (Kucirek) Hepp, sibling Sharon Kruetzer, brothers-in-law Johnathan Hepp and David Kruetzer, sister-in law Bonnie (Hepp) Lemke. The family would like to thank Helton & Harris Funeral Homes and Life’s Journey Hospice for their exceptional care, dedication, and heartfelt friendship. Additionally, deep appreciation and gratitude are extended to Independence Village of Avon for ensuring the comforts of home when Marilyn transitioned to Indiana for care near her youngest son. Many staff were involved in her daily needs, and warmly spent time with Mare playing cards, Bingo, crafting, and providing manicures over laughter. At a future date, Marilyn will be laid to rest alongside her parents in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. In lieu of a service at this time, it is asked that a prayer be offered, a loved one hugged, or a work of art be created in her memory. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:
