Margie J. Day, 78, of Danville, Indiana, passed peacefully with her family by her side on March 11, 2026. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 8, 1948, the daughter of the late John and Doris (Hadley) Day. 

Margie grew up in Indianapolis, She was a hard worker and dedicated to her family. In her younger years she loved to go Dancing. She enjoyed playing games either on her tablet or with family, watching Harry Potter movies, Criminal Minds, Alaskan shows and weekly mysteries with her brother mike. She loved to travel and could shop for hours. She had a special fondness for butterflies. Margie was baptized and loved Jesus. She enjoyed getting dressed up and always had her hair fixed. Often went out for fancy dinners and cooked for her family, who especially loved her, Mac n cheese and homemade potato soup. She would enjoy relaxing with a cup of hazelnut creamer with a splash of coffee.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Day; her daughter Laura Thomas; her son Paul Gibson ll; and her great-grandson Avery Hollingsworth. Margie is survived by her loving daughter Tami Faulk; her brother Mike Day; and her grandchildren Rebekah, Candace, Gary, Stephen, Tabitha, Susanna, Kimberly, Jennifer, Ashlee, Amber, and Alexis. She also leaves behind 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her beloved grand-dog, Dusty. Margie will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for family, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. 

A graveside service will be held in Clayton Cemetery, Clayton, Indiana on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
