Lisa L. (Hartman) Batts

April 21, 1966 — May 28, 2025

Clayton

Lisa L. (Hartman) Batts of Clayton, Indiana, passed away the night of May 28, 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at 59 years old. She was born on April 21, 1966 to the late Ronald “Ron” Hartman, and Frances “Fran” Hartman in Coldwater, Michigan. In September 1992, she married Randall “Randy” Batts, and shared nearly 33 years of joyous marriage.

Lisa’s absence leaves a devastating void in the hearts of those who loved her. She’s remembered as a loving wife, beloved daughter and sister, caring friend and co-worker, attentive pharmacist, the life of any party and the best mom in the world. She was incredibly smart, artistic and always saw the brighter side of things. She was active in her community, her church, and her kid’s school and extracurriculars. Compassionate and curious, she navigated the world with love and openness to all she met. Always up for adventure and a good time, she loved traveling and was always making people laugh. Lisa was strong in her faith and loved the Lord. Her life personifies the greatest two commandments: to love God and love your neighbor.

Lisa attended Columbus East High School and graduated in 1984. After high school, she graduated from the Purdue University School of Pharmacy in 1989, and was a dedicated pharmacist for over 35 years at Osco, CVS and Express Scripts. She loved her co-workers and patients, and shared fond memories with many of them.

Lisa leaves behind her loving husband, Randy Batts; caring mother, Fran Hartman; two adoring children and their spouses, Zachary (Allison) Batts, and Laura (Sam) Batts-Thomas. She also leaves behind her sister, Lori Hartman; brother, Craig (Jenna) Hartman; mother- and father-in-law, Connie Batts and Marion Batts; brother- and sister-in-laws, James (Kathy Luzar) Batts, Debora (Terry) DeVaney, Greg (Lisa) Batts. Amongst the rest of Lisa’s large and loving family, she leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved father, Ron Hartman (90), nearly a year behind his passing in June 2024.
