Leon Bee Davis

Funeral services for LEON BEE DAVIS, 89, will be held at 11 am Sat. Jan. 13, 2018 in WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE with visitation 5-8 pm Fri., Jan. 12, 2018. Burial will take place in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, West Virginia.

Leon was born in Philippi, West Virginia to Junior and Lottie (Hinkle) Davis. He was a graduate of Philippi High School, received a BS Degree from the University of West Virginia, as well as a Masters Degree in Agricultural Science from U.W.V. Leon married Ruth Gawthrop June 9, 1957, she preceded him in death Jan. 27, 2016. Leon was an assistant soil scientist for the State of Indiana for 30 years, retiring 1n 1985. He was a member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in Avon, and had served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his sons, Jay B. (Ruth) Davis - Zion, IL., Ivan N. (Kathleen) Davis - Danville, Kevin A. (Deborah) Davis - Harrison, OH., 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a sister, Janet Eaton - Harrisonburg, VA.
