George "Bruce" Ator

Memorial services for GEORGE "BRUCE" ATOR, 64, of Danville will be held at 6 pm Tues., Feb. 28, 2017 at NORTHVIEW CHRISTIAN CHURCH in Danville, of which he was a member, with visitation there from 3 pm until time of the memorial service.

"Bruce" was born July 23, 1952 in Quincy, Il. to Russell and Elizabeth Anne (Bruce) Ator. He graduated from Quincy, Il. High School, received a BS degree in physical education from Augustana College in Rock Island, Il., and a Masters degree in educational administration from Samford University. "Bruce" taught high school health and physical education, as well as coaching football and basketball at Sparta, Il. High School 1977-1983, and also at Quincy Notre Dame High School 1983-1987. He was the manager at the former Danville Ben Franklin Store 1987-1998. Currently, he was the operations manager for Gardner Glass Products in Indianapolis since 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Lois (Kinman) Ator, sons, Brandon Ator at home, Bryce (Kaite) Ator - Fishers, sister, Heather Ator - Quincy, Il., and a brither, Alex (Allison) Ator - Pearlland, Tx.
Contributions may be given to the Special Olympics of Hendricks County.
