Dorothy M. Strong

Dorothy, 95, of Clayton passed away at Plainfield Healthcare. She was born May 31, 1924 in Baptist Ridge, TN. to the late Gordon and Maggie (Lynn) Kellow. Dorothy married Joe Field Strong April 11, 1943, he preceded her in death May, 15, 2009. She was a wonderful homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Alford (Shelly) Strong of Plainfield, Frances (Charles) Arnold of Clayton, Evelyn (Michael) Burrell of Greenwood, Linda (Michael) Stein of Clayton, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 1  grt. grt. granddaughter.

Due to the COVID-19 virus situation, a PRIVATE graveside service will be held Wed., May 27, 2020 in Danville South Cemetery with burial to follow. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband of 66 years, Joe.
