Dorothy Mae Johnston

Private services will be held for DOROTHY MAE JOHNSTON, 94, of Danville, who passed away Friday morning at her residence in Danville Rehabilitation Center.

Dorothy was born in Indianapolis to George and Gladys (Dooley) Caldwell. She graduated from Columbus (IN.) High School and received her R.N. degree from the Indianapolis School of Nursing. Dorothy practiced her nursing career until 1946 and also was a seamstress for J.C. Penny Company for several years. She attended Harmony Baptist Church in Avon.
Survivors include her two daughters, Loretta K. (Walter) Anderson of Danville, Sandy (Ron) Carpenter of Lake City, FL., 5 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
