Burton "Brent" Sunderland

"Brent", 54, of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday at Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Waurika, Oklahoma to the late Burton L. and Wanda (Uptergrove) Sunderland. "Brent" grew up and graduated from high school in Granite, OK. with the class of 1983. He joined the United States Navy in 1983 and served his country during the Persian Gulf War, and until being discharged in 1992. "Brent" married Amy (Lobbia) Weakley. He was a business consultant with IBM Corporation.

Survivors include his wife Amy, son, Kyle Sunderland of Plainfield, step-children, Warren Weakley of Hazelwood, Victoria Weakley of Danville, 7 grandchildren, sisters, Nerinda Franklin of Branson, MO., and Dana Nidley of Elk City, OK. "Brent" was also preceded in death by a sister, Anna Tousek.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME DANVILLE entrusted with the arrangements.
