Bea Murawski

September 24, 1944 — January 5, 2025

Danville

Beatrice “Bea” Murawski, 80, of Danville passed away in her husband’s arms on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 24, 1944, a daughter of the late Roy Mullins and Cora Lee (Steffy) Wise. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Bufford, Sterl and Macel Mullins.

Bea worked for many years as an inspector for Furnace Electric in Batavia, Illinois, which is where she met the love of her life, Larry, after he was transferred from another Furnace Electric location to hers. Together they blended their families and enjoyed traveling together as Larry’s work took them to many new locations, crisscrossing the Midwest, Lancaster, PA, Amish country, being one of their favorites. There they would fish off the Susquehanna River banks, and enjoyed taking the grandkids to Hersheypark where the smell of chocolate filled the air. In her quiet time, Bea enjoyed sitting and crocheting blankets and Christmas tree skirts.

She loved to cook and bake. She learned from her father-in-law how to make the delicious Polish staples, perogies and stroganoff. For dessert she loved to bake angel food cakes, and fruit cakes for Christmas. Bea’s beautiful heart was magnetic and pulled so many good people to her and Larry. She will be dearly missed and remembered for being a warm and gentle soul.

Bea is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Larry Murawski; children, Lisa Bergsten, Rex Armstrong, Melissa Watkins and Theresa Burby; grandchildren, Alisha, Benjamin, Barbara, Carrie, Nathan, Ricky and Jessica. Also missing Bea are extended family members, good friends and faithful neighbors.
