Anthony Johnson “Tony”

Anthony E. Johnson “Tony”, 63, of Danville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born on April 13, 1962, the son of the late Howard Johnson. He grew up in Indianapolis, graduating from Emmerich Manual High School. Tony met the love of his life and best friend, Pam, after they were set up on a blind date, by mutual friends. They celebrated 25 years on July 29th. Tony knew God and had been baptized. Currently, he was a member of the Clayton Christian Church. Tony was the goofy guy on the holidays, loved to make people laugh. His in-laws will remember Tony as, “Always ready to help out.” They were very happy to have him as part of the family.Tony enjoyed collecting Chevy Hot Wheels, watching Bond and Clint Eastwood movies, eating at Cracker Barrel and playing games. He loved Elvis, Batman and Olivia Newton John, and had a special place in his heart for cats.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Pam (Sharp) Johnson; in-laws, John and Donna Sharp of Danville; brother-in-law, Kerry (Alexis) Sharp of Durham, North Carolina, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sharp of Indianapolis ; nieces and nephews, Conlan Sharp, Duane Sharp, Dawn Marie Bird, Dee Sharp, Deric Sharp, Drew Sharp and Dustin Sharp; 22 great nieces and nephews. Also missing Tony is his kitty, Amira. In addition to his father, Tony is preceded by his brother-in-law, Dale Sharp.

The family will gather to celebrate Tony’s vibrant life on Wednesday, August the 20th at the Clayton Christian Church, visitation from 5:00 - 5:30 pm. Celebration of Life from 5:30 - 6:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Helton & Harris Funeral Home, Danville.
